Good afternoon King and Queen Community:
This is Dr. Carter, division superintendent, providing an update regarding our schools. The Superintendent's Proposed Budget FY26 scheduled for Thursday, February 13th has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19th at 6:30 p.m.
We have cleared our parking lots and got our buildings ready. I would like to give a shout out to the custodians, maintenance staff, and Dr. Curran for coming in to get everything safe for students and staff.
Another special thank you to Becky Lane for all the transportation updates. Bus Drivers will be calling you if they need you to bring your student to the end of the road.
As always, thank you for your continued support. Be safe.

Good afternoon King and Queen Community:
This is Dr. Carter, division superintendent for King and Queen County Public Schools, calling with an update of our schools. I said to you yesterday, "if safety conditions exist, we will be at school tomorrow eating our yummy cafeteria food".
Well, as it turns out, due to road conditions, roads not plowed, unsafe turn around spots for buses, parking lots not cleared, and freeing trees hanging over our roads, King and Queen County Pubic Schools will operate on Thursday, February 13th as a remote leaning day for students.
Maintenance and Custodians please report at 10:00 A.M. Be safe and stay warm. Have a great evening.

The next Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) meeting is on Thursday, February 27 at 5:00pm. The meeting will be held virtually. Please email Dr. David Curran or Amy Klontzaris for a link.

Good afternoon King and Queen Community,
This is Dr. Carter, division superintendent for King and Queen County Public Schools, calling with an update regarding our schools.
King and Queen is a beautiful winter wonderland. The snow is a reminder of the renewed wonder of all the amazing things this season holds.
So, please enjoy a day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12th of hot chocolate, sledding, playing outside with your animals, and bake some cookies. Take pictures and send them to me. We will have a remote learning day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12th.
Seriously, if safety conditions exist, we will be at school on Thursday eating the cafeteria's wonderful and yummy food. But.....for tomorrow during your breaks from remote learning - build a TIGER snowman!!
Thank you

Hello,This is an update regarding our schools. King and Queen County Public Schools will operate on reglar schedule starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 14th. Bus drivers have contacted parents for those students still needing to be brought to the end of the road. Thank you ALL for your patience, flexibility, and support.Have a great evening

Hello,This is an update regarding our schools. I have driven our roads for over 2 hours this morning and received many reports from our bus drivers. There are a few spots on roads and the bus drivers are asking those parents to bring their students to the end of the road for pickup. King and Queen County Public Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay for students and staff on Monday, January 13th, 2025. Welcome Back Everyone!

Good afternoon King and Queen Community,
Due to 10 different roads still having snow ice, and unsafe conditions, King and Queen County Public Schools will be closed for students and staff, Friday, January 10th. These roads house over 20% of our students. We will review our school calendar and figure out our make-up days. We will not disrupt Spring Break in our decision.
We hope to resume our regular schedule on Monday with warmer temperatures. I will be providing an update on Sunday. Thank you for your patience and support. Safety is our top priority.
Have a great evening,
Dr. Carter

Preschool enrollment will be here before you know it. Save the dates. Please share.
