Attention Lawson Marriott Familes: Due to a large number of staff members, bus drivers, and students being absent from school due to illness, Lawson Marriott Elementary will be closed for cleaning on Thursday, December 8th. Tomorrow will be a remote learning day. If your child is well please take time to check Class Dojo for a message from their teacher. Please stay well.

Due to the number of sick students and staff, Central High School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, December 2nd.

Loved reading to the 4th graders at both elementary schools (King and Queen & Lawson Marriott). The books were “Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks” and “A Christmas Crocodile”. The students were so attentive and great listening skills. Proud to be a Tiger!

Due to the threat of potential tornado activity during school hours, King and Queen County Schools will be closed today, Friday, November 11th.

Due to the possible impact of Tropical Storm Nicole in our area, King and Queen County Schools will be operating on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Friday, November 11th.

Staff from all three schools received professional development sessions from Dr. Joy Davis and Thrive Virginia. We appreciate all the insight that was provided. Thank you!

October was Bullying Prevention Month! Last month, King and Queen Schools increased our efforts to prevent bullying. Some of the things our schools have been doing include: sharing morning announcements about bullying, delivering guidance and library classes focused on bullying, and having students sign pledges not to bully. Learn more about scholarships and financial aid, including low-cost programs at Rappahannock Community College. Completing the FAFSA allows you to receive financial aid, which includes scholarships, grants, work-studies, and loans. Students who are looking to attend community college, 4-year universities, or trade/technical programs MUST complete the FAFSA. There will be raffle prizes, pizza, and drinks so please come out and support your senior!
