Good Afternoon King and Queen Parents and Guardians!
The KQPS Parent Portal will be available to access on Thursday, August 17th in time for Central High School's "Meet and Greet Night."
You can access the Parent Portal from any browser on any computer or mobile device. The browser link to Parent Portal is: https://kqps.powerschool.com/public/home.html
There is also an app available to download from your mobile device's app store called Powerschool Mobile App. King and Queen's Mobile App District Code is NGXM.
If you do not already have an account you will need to set one up using your parent access code provided by the student's school.
This is great application to check your student's grades, attendance, etc. This year we are excited to announce that most of your returning forms will be completed within Parent Portal under the Forms tab (directions are attached). These forms will be available to complete as soon as the Parent Portal opens up on August 17th.
We can't wait for the school year to start!

***Please welcome Dr. David Curran to the K&Q Tiger family!***
My name is David Curran and I am excited to serve King and Queen County Public Schools as the Director of Special Education. I graduated from Northeastern University with a doctoral degree and have served in education for the past 13 years. I am a retired Secret Service Agent and I live in Northumberland County with my wife. My daughter attends Virginia Tech and is pursuing a career in BioChemistry. When I am not at school, I love to cook from scratch, explore the waterways of the Chesapeake and hang out with my 4 dogs. I am proud to be a new member of the Tiger Nation and look forward to supporting our students and meeting the Tiger TEAM. Go Tigers!

King and Queen County Public Schools now uses Busology by Viafy for bus routing and GPS tracking of busses. Please download the Viafy Parent app to view bus route information, bus numbers, pickup times, and live GPS mapping for the 2023-2024 school year. Schools will also be able to send notifications through the app when busses are running late or running alternate routes.

King and Queen Elementary School (KQES), built in 1937, formerly known as Pleasant Hill High School will no longer exist after this fall as it is today. Students will be relocated to a site with modulars for the school year (2023-2024) while a new building is built. The Class of 1988 and 1992 buried time capsules when they were 7th graders before being promoted to the 8th grade to Central High School. The now adults came to KQES and dug up their capsules. Inside the capsule were letters students wrote to themselves, a program of the promotion ceremony, Richmond Times newspaper clipping, cassette tape, and VHS tapes.

******Attention Summer Tiger Academy Families******
Due to the weather, all summer academy students will be released today at 10:30am.
