This is a reminder that King and Queen County Public Schools will dismiss at noon on, Friday, January 12th and will be closed for staff and students on Monday, January 15th.

King and Queen County Public Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay for Wednesday, January 10th to assess roads for flooding and downed trees. We will notify the school community by 8:00AM if a change of status is needed.

Reminder: The KQPS budget survey for the 2024-2025 school year closes tomorrow (Tuesday, January 9, 2024). We want to hear from you!

Thank you to our presenters of professional development this past week, which focused on the theme of "Crisis Training in Schools." Dr. McDonald, our school psychologist, presented on threat assessments. Mr. Weik, our Director of Testing and Safety, presented on Crisis Prevention, Response, and a Restorative Environment in Schools. Investigator Cusick from the KQ Sheriff's Office and Ms. Pike from the KQ Dept. of Social Services presented on Child Disclosing.

Thank you to Mrs. Ancarrow and Mrs. Rector for providing CPI training for some of our staff members today for their professional development!



PreK-1st Grade Teachers and Paraprofessionals, along with Resource Teachers, participated in an engaging PD session titled "Community of Movers" with Wolf Trap today! It was great to learn how to incorporate and engage with the arts during our lessons with students!
