My name is Rachael Latimer and I am so excited to teach 4th grade at Lawson-Marriott Elementary School! I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters Degree in Early and Elementary Education and have taught 3rd grade in Hanover County. I live in King William County with my husband and two children. When not at school, I enjoy adventuring with my family and our dog, reading, and playing board games and MarioKart with my kids. I am looking forward to a great year with King and Queen County! Go Tigers!

Hi my name is Allison McGehee. I am very excited to serve King and Queen County Public Schools as the PE teacher at CHS! I graduated from Ferrum College with a degree in Exercise Science. I was a former athlete and previously just stepped down as a head personal trainer at my current gym. I felt ready for a career change to continue impacting the lives of others. In my free time you can catch me at the gym, fishing, or hiking. I look forward to the upcoming school year at CHS.

Hello! My name is Joseph Young and I am thrilled to be teaching English 7 and 8 at Central High School. I received my Bachelor's of Arts in English from Mary Washington and served as an ELA teacher for four years. I love to read, write, listen to music, watch television/film, and go for long walks. When I am not working or pursuing my hobbies, I am spending time with the love of my life: my daughter. Looking forward to a year full of teaching and learning!

Hi my name is Aerin Lanphear. I grew up in rural upstate NY, no not “the city”. It took us as long to drive to NYC as it took to drive to VA. I went to college and earned my teaching degrees (Art and Family and Consumer Sciences) in NY so I didn’t think I would teach in VA. However, when this chance to teach elementary art came up I couldn’t say no!
I have a very small, close knit family. It is just me, my parents, and my daughter, Mikayla, here in Virginia and some distant extended family in NY. My parents are both retired and our plan was always to move to Virginia when my father retired in December 2019. I would not recommend the intense experience of trying to sell 2 houses in one state, buy a house in another state, and coordinate closings and moving all during a global pandemic. We have such amazing timing.
My daughter is 11 and loves horses. She takes lessons and competes in hunter/jumper competitions around the area. That takes up all “free time” along with every weekend so that is pretty much my only hobby right now, but she absolutely loves it and so do I. We are slowly starting to explore the area, I would love any suggestions on places to check out! I am really looking forward to working here at KQCS.
***Please welcome Johanna Garrett to the K&Q Tiger family!*** My name is Johanna Garrett and I am very excited to serve King and Queen County Public Schools as the PreK3 teacher at LMES! I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Human Development last year, and have 1 year of experience with Preschool age students. I am a Virginia Beach native but recently moved to Warsaw, VA this summer from Northern VA. When I am not in school, I can be found enjoying time with family and friends, listening to music, or finding a new coffee shop to try! I am so grateful for this opportunity to be a part of the Tiger community and learn along the way with my students!

***Please welcome Ronnie Cox to the K&Q Tiger family!*** I have served as a public high school history teacher since 1990. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Social Science Education. Over the course of my career, I have taught: Economics, Sociology, World Geography, American Military History, American Civil War History, United States History and now woodworking. I coached 50 seasons of VHSL athletics over the years. These included: baseball, basketball, football and soccer. I own my own an LLC and have a Virginia state contractors business license. I love spending time with my family, reading (theology, historical nonfiction, athletic biographies), working on vehicles, an eclectic mix of outdoor activities and rabidly following the New York Yankees.

My name is Tracey Loving. I am thrilled to be joining King and Queen County Public Schools as a CTE/Business Teacher at Central High School. I graduated from Liberty University with an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have 3 years of teaching experience. When I am not teaching I am advocating for health-protective laws and educating others about the industry. My spare time also includes being with my family and watching lots of Hallmark movies. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year and meeting our awesome students.

I graduated from Liberty University with a M.Ed in Student Services and currently working on my M.Ed in School Counseling. I'm a Northern Neck native and currently live in Warsaw! When I'm not at school, you can find me at the beach, on the boat with friends and family, or enjoying a good book.
