Since August 2021, a Science Textbook Evaluation Committee composed of KQPS teachers and administrators has been evaluating science textbooks for all grade levels to be adopted for the 2022-2023 school year. The committee is evaluating the textbooks using a rubric comprising 4 domains: structural features of the text, content and instructional features, assessment features, and relevance and motivation.
Copies of each textbook are available for review by the public. If you are interested in reviewing the textbooks under consideration, please contact Mr. McKellar, KQPS Director of Community & Student Support (pmckellar@kqps.net; 804-785-6102) to schedule an appointment to review the textbooks at your student's school. Appointments are available until 3:00pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
