Good evening parents and guardians. Due to the day missed from school this week for inclement weather and to ensure we have the most accurate data, we are changing the date of report card distribution. Report cards will be issued on Monday, January 22, 2024 instead of Friday the 19th. Thank you and have a good evening.

Good Morning KQPS Community!
This is a reminder that King and Queen County Public Schools will dismiss at noon on, Friday, January 12th and will be closed for staff and students on Monday, January 15th.

King and Queen County Public Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay for Wednesday, January 10th to assess roads for flooding and downed trees. We will notify the school community by 8:00AM if a change of status is needed.

Good afternoon KQES families. Students that ride bus route 4 will be combined with the other KQES bus routes this afternoon. Students may get home earlier or later than normal. Thank you for your understanding as we work to get your children transported safely.

National Family Literacy Day® is celebrated on November 1st each year and is a kickoff to National Family Literacy Month. This November, the celebration of National Family Literacy Month brings about a great opportunity for families to get back into the tradition of reading as a family.
Here are ways you can promote family literacy at home.
- Set aside time each day for reading.
- Keep books visible around the house.
- Make regular visits to the library.
