Athlete Spotlight: Shynice Shackleford! 🌟🏃♀️
For four years, Shynice has been a powerhouse in Track & Field, competing in the Long Jump, 100m, 200m, and 400m. She has qualified for Regionals the last three years and made it to States for the first time last year!
Coach Carter is in awe of Shynice's growth, noting that she "works really hard to be her best" and serves as a great mentor to her peers at practices and meets.
As the team heads out to compete today, let's wish them luck! We can't wait to see you shine, Shynice!

Attention CHS Families! With Tuesday's (December 9, 2025) snow day, we will have Bio SOL Retakes on Wednesday and History SOL retakes will now be Thursday. Mrs. Seibert will stay after Wednesday for anyone interested in one more review session. Wednesday, December10th will be an Aday.

Due to the weather, the JV girls’ basketball game scheduled for tonight has been canceled. We are currently working with Westmoreland to set a new date.
Additionally, our Scholastic Bowl match against Middlesex has been postponed because of the weather and will be rescheduled for a later time.

Tonight's game is an AWAY match against Northampton. The original Carver game listed on tonight's schedule was changed because they no longer have a Varsity team. Tonight's match is a remake of 9/22.
Currently, travel restrictions are in place on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge due to high winds, affecting our team's travel plans.
We are actively monitoring the situation and must wait to see if the restrictions are lifted. A final decision on whether the team can safely travel and play will be announced by 12:00 PM (Noon) TODAY.
