STUDENT-ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: ROBERT HASTON 🌟🏀⚾
Some athletes lead with words, but Robert Haston leads with action.
According to his coach, Robert is the “epitome of showing up and doing your job.” Whether it’s a rainy Monday or a late-night practice, Robert never misses a day and always gives 100% of what he has. 💯
We’ve loved watching his dedication on the court this winter, and we can’t wait to see that same drive out on the field this spring!

The CHS Staff Member of the Month for December is Amber Duncan. Ms. Duncan is our AdviseVA Pathways Adviser. She expertly assists our students in finding their path to the future through completing college and scholarship applications and any searching for career oriented workplace certifications and technical schools and maneuvering through job applications to discover their career path. In addition to directing students through finding these awesome opportunities, she also plays a pivotal role working with our student government supporting their many school spirit activities. We are very fortunate to have her here at CHS!

Competing at 120 lbs, Deonte has powered his way to an impressive 4-2 record to start the season! 📈

For four years, Shynice has been a powerhouse in Track & Field, competing in the Long Jump, 100m, 200m, and 400m. She has qualified for Regionals the last three years and made it to States for the first time last year!

Attention CHS Families! With Tuesday's (December 9, 2025) snow day, we will have Bio SOL Retakes on Wednesday and History SOL retakes will now be Thursday. Mrs. Seibert will stay after Wednesday for anyone interested in one more review session. Wednesday, December10th will be an Aday.

Due to the weather, the JV girls’ basketball game scheduled for tonight has been canceled. We are currently working with Westmoreland to set a new date.
Additionally, our Scholastic Bowl match against Middlesex has been postponed because of the weather and will be rescheduled for a later time.
