Shanté Harvey, KQES Principal

Shanté Harvey graduated with a Bachelor's degree in psychology from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. After moving back to Virginia, she obtained a position as a special education teacher and fell in love with teaching. Mrs. Harvey completed her Master's degree from Old Dominion University and later earned her Administration and Supervision certificate from George Washington University. Mrs. Harvey has worked in the field of education for 25 years. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. One of her favorite activities is going to the movies. Mrs. Harvey describes herself as a bit of a thrill-seeker. She has been parasailing, hang gliding, hot air ballooning and she has tested out her skills on the trapeze. Mrs. Harvey's greatest passion is working with children. She views her career as a true blessing.

Meredith Kesling, KQES Assistant Principal

Meredith Kesling earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies after switching careers.  She went on to earn two Master’s degrees, the first in Gifted Education and the second in Educational Administration.  Ms. Kesling enjoys spending her time listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with her family and dogs.  She likes to go camping, fishing, and being on the water.  She is a hands-on educator who loves to work side by side with students, staff, and families.  Ms. Kesling strives to create positive relationships with everyone she comes in contact with.

A message from Assistant Principal Kesling:

“I knew when I came for my interview, 7 years ago, that this is the district I was supposed to be in.  I enjoy working with our students and families.  Our staff are amazing and they truly make a difference.  We are a family.  I am truly honored to have been a part of this awesome group of individuals.  I cannot wait to see all that we accomplish together.”
