    Parent Tiger Community Fellowship

    August 25, 2015

Dear Parents, Guardians and Supporters of CHS Students,

The Parent Tiger Community Fellowship (PTCF) was formed during the 2013-2014 school year to serve as a support system for students, staff and faculty at King & Queen Central High School.  We strive to encourage and instill pride and confidence in our Royal Tigers.  More importantly, we teach the students the importance of giving back to the community in which they live, work, worship, play and attend school.

Please accept this letter as an invitation to join our fellowship.  There is a job for everyone.  We meet the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Central High School Cafeteria (no December meeting).  Our next meeting will be on September 22nd when elections for the 2015-2016 school year will be held.  Nominations will be accepted from the floor and voted upon by all in attendance.

Attached is a list of projects in which we have provided support.  You can keep up with our activities on the King & Queen County Public Schools’ web site under the CHS PTCF tab.  Look for our calendar of events coming soon.

Our largest project each year is Peanut Butter Jelly Time which provides food for our students before all extra-curricular activities.  The children need nourishment to be able to perform.  We serve a hot meal to the students and coaches when competing at home and serve a bagged sandwich meal/healthy snack for away competitions.  To date, we have served over 6,000 meals at a cost of about $9,000.00 (approx. $1.50 per meal).

Below is a list of how you can help feed the Royal Tigers and support the other activities of the PTCF.  Simply contact Crystal Davis at 804-769-4472 or email us at CHSPARENTTIGER@aol.com

*Choose a date and volunteer to cook and/or serve a meal.

*Donate food items for others to prepare (list attached).

*Donate money or gift cards to purchase needed items.

*Bake an item or work the sales table for the home game bake sales.

*Bake and donate items for our annual bake sale at the K&Q Farmer’s Market (November 14th).

*Attend a home game and purchase a homemade goodie while you cheer on the Royal Tigers!

*Attend our meetings and become a part of a committee for an upcoming event.

You will be blessed by helping these children.  Make a difference in a young person’s life by supporting what is important to them.  They are our future!!!  This year’s PTCF quote is:

“Community is not just about being together, it’s about doing life together.”

     Respectfully,

     Crystal E. Davis
